Mops & Buckets

Mops and buckets are manual cleaning systems combining a mop head and handle, bucket and wringer for washing floors with water and solution in offices, plants and warehouses. They differ from scrubber dryers in being manual, suiting smaller areas and tight spaces. Selection is based on mop head type (string, flat microfibre, sponge), bucket design (with casters or multi-chamber), wringer mechanism and the facility's colour-coding system.

About this category

Mops and buckets are manual cleaning systems combining a mop (cleaning head and handle), a bucket and a wringing mechanism, used in office, industrial and warehouse facilities to clean floors with water and solution. Models differ in mop head type between string mops (looped-end and cut-end), flat mops with microfiber pads, sponge mops and scrub mops. Mop head material differs between cotton, microfiber, polyester and blended materials depending on design. Models differ in bucket design between simple buckets, caster buckets and multi-chamber buckets (cleaning and rinsing), and in wringer mechanism between hand-press wringers, foot-pedal wringers and spin-dry wringers. A color-coding system is applied in some facilities to differentiate cleaning zones (such as restrooms, kitchens and offices), but coding systems differ between facilities and jurisdictions and no single universal standard is adopted. Mopping does not itself perform disinfection; mopping is mechanical soil removal, and a disinfection function may require the use of a labeled disinfectant solution. Scrubber dryers and sweepers are excluded from this category. Industrial buyers select mop and bucket models based on floor type, wringing requirements, bucket capacity and the facility's color-coding system.
