Scrubber Dryers

Scrubber dryers clean hard floors in a single pass: they dispense solution, scrub with brushes or pads, then vacuum the dirty water through a squeegee into a recovery tank. They differ from sweepers, which only pick up dry debris and do not wash, and scrubbing removes soil rather than disinfecting. Selection is based on site size (walk-behind or ride-on), cleaning width, solution and recovery tank capacity, power source (battery or mains) and floor type.

About this category

Scrubber dryers are cleaning machines that perform hard-floor cleaning in a single pass by distributing cleaning solution from the solution tank, scrubbing the floor with brushes or pads, and recovering the used liquid through the squeegee path to a recovery tank. Models differ between walk-behind machines that the operator walks behind and ride-on machines on which the operator sits, depending on site size. Models vary in effective cleaning width, solution and recovery tank capacities, brush or pad type and layout, and power source between mains-electric and battery. Models differ in brush system between flat rotary and cylindrical brushes, in scrubbing pressure and in solution distribution rates. The drying function does not imply the floor is completely dry immediately after passage; the recovery system removes most of the liquid, but final dryness depends on use conditions and floor type. Scrubbing is fundamentally different from disinfection: scrubbing is mechanical soil removal and does not perform chemical disinfection unless a labeled, authorized disinfectant solution is used. This category differs from sweepers that collect solid debris only. Industrial buyers select scrubber dryer models based on cleaning width, site size, tank capacities, power source and floor suitability.
