Plastic Pallets
Plastic pallets are injection- or compression-moulded load bases made from polymers such as HDPE or polypropylene, used to move goods with forklifts and pallet trucks. They differ from wooden and steel pallets in material, and come in nestable or stackable designs. Selection is based on dimensions and entry type, documented static, dynamic and racking loads, rackability, and material suitability such as food contact.

About this category
Plastic pallets are handling products manufactured from injection- or compression-molded polymer materials, used as the interface between a load and powered handling equipment. Models differ in the polymer material; a single material should not be assumed across the category (such as high-density polyethylene, polypropylene or other materials), as defined in the product's documentation. Models vary in dimensions and in deck and support structure between solid-support and open-support pallets, and between nestable pallets with lower cavities and stackable pallets. Entry geometry varies between four-way and two-way entry. A strict distinction must be maintained between Static Load, Dynamic Load and Racking Load; a pallet being plastic does not automatically imply rackability, as rackability is defined in the product's documentation. Plastic construction does not automatically imply food-contact suitability, or comprehensive chemical resistance (ISPM-15 covers regulated wood packaging, so any wooden components and other import requirements are checked separately); these are product-specific attributes defined by the product's design, specifications and the importing jurisdiction. This category differs from wooden and steel pallets in material. Industrial buyers select plastic pallet models based on dimensions, entry structure, documented rackability, the three load ratings and the target application.
