Air Impact Wrenches
The Air Impact Wrenches category covers compressed-air tools that combine rotation with rotational impact to deliver high tightening torque on nuts and bolts, used in automotive workshops and heavy industrial maintenance where a compressed-air system is available. Models are supplied with square socket drives of graduated sizes. Compressors, hoses, regulators and air filters are not part of this category. Specifications are model-specific.

About this category
Air impact wrenches are compressed-air tools in which kinetic energy from air pressure drives an internal pneumatic motor that produces continuous rotation together with a rotational impact mechanism, generating successive torque blows when the fastener resists rotation. These tools have a standard square socket drive accepting impact sockets sized to the target fastener. They are used to loosen and tighten large nuts on vehicle wheels, industrial equipment and structural assemblies. Pneumatic tools are relatively light compared to electric tools of equivalent torque because the power generation plant is located outside the tool in the compressed-air system. Air impact wrench models differ by socket drive size, maximum torque, air consumption and free rotation speed. Operation requires a compressed-air system suitable in pressure and flow rate, together with a hose, regulator, filter and air lubricator. These components are excluded from this category; filters, regulators and lubricators are available under Air Treatment Equipment. Electric impact wrenches are also excluded. Industrial buyers select air impact wrench models based on prevailing fastener size, required torque, available compressed-air system on site and ergonomics required for sustained operation in maintenance environments.
