Platform Trolleys
Platform Trolleys are wheeled frames carrying a flat load deck for moving boxes, goods and equipment around warehouses and industrial and commercial facilities. They spread the load horizontally on the deck, with no forks or lifting mechanism as on pallet trucks and unlike two-wheel hand trucks that carry loads upright; choose by deck size and material, documented capacity, wheel and handle type (fixed or folding), and floor conditions.

About this category
Platform trolleys are ground-level handling units composed of a flat loading platform mounted on a wheeled frame, used to transport goods, boxes and equipment between locations in industrial and commercial facilities. Models differ in platform dimensions per intended use and in platform material; a single material should not be assumed across the category, as platforms may be made of steel, wood or other materials depending on the model. Trolleys may have a side or vertical handle, and the handle may be fixed or foldable per design. Wheel count varies between four and six depending on the model, and wheel designs vary between fixed-direction and swivel wheels per model, with brakes available on some models depending on design. Drive systems differ between fully manual trolleys and powered-assist trolleys depending on the model, and a single drive system should not be assumed across the category. A platform trolley differs from a pallet truck: it has no forks and no lift mechanism; it also differs from a two-wheel hand truck that carries loads vertically. Pallet trucks, hand trucks and drum trolleys are excluded from this category. Industrial buyers select platform trolley models based on platform dimensions, documented load capacity, drive system, wheel design and floor conditions.
