Glass Cleaners
Glass cleaners are formulated to remove smears, fingerprints and light grease from windows, mirrors and glazed surfaces, using water-based or fast-evaporating solvent formulations. They differ from general purpose and floor cleaners in being optimized for glass. Selection is based on the glass type (tinted, mirrored or screens) and label-stated compatibility, ammonia or alcohol content, form (ready-to-use spray or concentrate) and packaging.

About this category
Glass cleaners are cleaning chemical formulations dedicated to removing stains, soils, light greases and fingerprints from glazed and glass surfaces per the product's label and specifications. Models differ in active formulation between formulations with fast-evaporating solvents and water-based formulations, and in form between ready-to-use sprays, concentrates and solutions supplied with professional spraying equipment. Models differ in content of ammonia, alcohol or other solvents per formulation, and a single property should not be assumed across the category. Streak-free, anti-static, safe-for-tinted-glass, safe-for-electronic-screens or safe-for-mirrored-glass attributes should not be assumed across the category; these are properties of the product's design and ingredients defined on its label. A glass cleaner does not itself perform disinfection unless it carries registered claims to that effect. This category differs from general purpose cleaners and floor cleaners in its glass-specific formulation. Disinfectants, restroom cleaners and industrial heavy-duty degreasers are excluded from this category. Industrial buyers select glass cleaner models based on the target glass type, documented formulation compatibility, product form and packaging.
