Temporary Anchors
Temporary Anchors install and remove quickly and are used for defined projects that do not need permanent setup. They differ from permanent anchors by being removable without major damage, and are sometimes rented from safety-equipment suppliers. Ideal for defined construction phases and occasional inspection work.

About this category
Temporary anchors balance safety with installation flexibility. The design: steel or aluminum structures with attachment mechanisms that need no welding or permanent drilling. These include beam clamps for structural steel, door and window-mounted anchors with expansion mechanisms, weight anchors using counterweights, and textile anchors that wrap around structural elements. No permanent fixing is needed; required strength follows the applicable standard or the engineered system design. Applications: time-bounded construction projects, temporary maintenance sites, occasional inspection at facilities without permanent anchors, emergency response teams, and painting and finishing work. A substantive difference from permanent anchors: temporary anchors need pre-use inspection to confirm attachment integrity, while permanent anchors need a pre-use visual check plus periodic annual inspection. An important technical note: temporary anchors are not suited to every site — they require structural elements capable of carrying the loads (for example, beam clamps are not used on weak or curved steel). Classification follows ANSI Z359.18 (single-point anchorage connectors) or EN 795 Type B. They are stored in sealed cases to protect them from damage.
