Bubble wrap in polyethylene with 10-25 mm air bubbles wraps around products to absorb shock, available in standard and anti-static (for electronics) grades. Packaging foam in polyethylene (PE foam) is light and flexible, while polyurethane (PU foam) absorbs more shock. Both come in pre-cut shapes to fit the product or in rolls for custom cutting. Air pillows inflate on demand to save storage space and fill voids around the product. Packing peanuts in polystyrene or biodegradable starch fill voids but can migrate in transit if the fill is insufficient. Edge/corner protectors in compressed cardboard or plastic shield product corners from strap pressure. Stretch film wraps around pallets to secure goods and prevent sliding, available in 15-30 micron thickness for hand or machine use.
