Absorbent Pads
Absorbent Pads are flat sheets of absorbent fiber laid directly over a spill to lift liquid from the surface quickly. They differ from rolls and socks by being the primary ready-to-deploy form for small areas and drip points. Available in types tailored to oils, chemicals, or universal use, with the correct type selected by the liquid being picked up.

About this category
Absorbent pads are the most widely used form of absorbent in daily workplace operations. The design: multiple layers of meltblown polypropylene fiber or treated cellulose, bonded mechanically or stitched, with a smoother outer facing for easier handling. Types by application: oil-only pads (hydrophobic, oleophilic, float on water), chemical pads (resist acids and alkalis), and universal pads (absorb water, oils, and solvents). Uses: drip points under equipment, maintenance platforms, drum-filling perimeters, repair-shop floors, under machinery with occasional leaks, and manufacturing zones. Typically supplied in dispensing boxes or cartons, and may be cut to size as needed. A substantive difference from rolls: pads suit localized quick response, while rolls suit long aisles and extended coverage. Pickup capacity and the degree of chemical resistance are selected from the product documentation to match the target liquid and disposal requirements, and a ready stock should be kept at points with frequent leaks.
