Overview

The Hi-TEX HPL is a slip-on safety helmet with a virgin HDPE shell and a 6-point textile suspension, rated to EN 397:2012+A1:2012 and to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2003 Type I, Class C.

Impact protection: the shell is made from strong virgin HDPE to protect your head against impact from above.
Suspension and fit: the 6-point textile cradle on an LDPE headband has height adjustment, and the pin-lock adjustment sets the fit from 51 to 63 cm.
All-day comfort: the brushed nylon cloth sweatband on foam and a weight of approximately 360 g keep the helmet comfortable through the shift.
Visibility and neck coverage: the reduced peak improves your upward visibility, and the extended nape band gives increased neck protection.
Ventilation: an optional crown and rear ventilation system improves air circulation inside the helmet.
Accessories and spares: universal slots take a wide range of face and hearing accessories, and replacement headgear, cradle, sweatband and chin strap are available.
Size and colours: one adjustable size from 51 to 63 cm, in white, yellow, blue, red, green, orange, purple and brown.

What do Type I and Class C mean for this helmet?

Under ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2003 the helmet is Type I, which reduces the force of impact from a blow to the top of the head, and Class C, the conductive class, which is not tested for electrical insulation.

What head sizes does it fit?

One adjustable size from 51 to 63 cm. You set the fit with the pin-lock adjustment and the height with the 6-point textile cradle.

Can I fit ear defenders or a face shield?

Yes. The universal slots take a wide range of face and hearing accessories.

How long can I use the helmet?

The in-use life is up to 5 years. Excessive wear and tear can reduce it considerably, so store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high heat, which can distort the shell.

Can I replace the suspension and sweatband?

Yes. Replacement slip-on headgear, the LDPE or textile cradle, the absorbent sweatband and the chin strap are available. Clean the helmet with warm water, soap and a soft cloth.
